Here is a snippet of me sharing my story of dealing with feelings of inadequacy as a young woman who has often faced calls to huge positions and responsibilities that seemed beyond me. Take home message: 1. A feeling of inadequacy is just a ‘feeling’. Don’t make it your truth. 2. Feelings should never replace truth. Confront your feelings with His truth. 3. Be practical. Sometimes we feel inadequate because we quite simply haven’t been through the training or attained the skills necessary for whatever it is that we want to embark on. For example, a year 9 secondary school student would certainly ‘feel’ inadequate if they were told that the following year, they’d be completing a masters degree. Not because they aren’t capable, but because the practical element of being trained is missing! Shout out to the gorgeous and courageous ladies at the table.
