Travel

“Suppose I had wings like the dawning day and flew across the ocean. Even then your powerful arm would guide and protect me.” – Psalm 139:9-10 (Contemporary English Version)

The opportunity to travel collides with the nature of my profession, my choice of leisure and provision.

I absolutely love that I get to travel, experience new cultures, sights and people; appreciating all that God has created. I often share my travel experiences via my social media platforms, mostly Instagram; and after an overwhelming positive response to my travelling posts, I was implored to create a space on my blog. So here it is!

I hope to encourage and reassure those planning a trip to places that I have been to; especially those considering travelling solo! I would also love for this space to be for those who have already travelled and want to vicariously relive a few memories.

Below is a growing list of key trips that I have made and documented. Click on the links and images to find out more details about my experience, including my bookings, approximate costs, activities and general tips for your visit.

Solo trips are so freeing. I’ve had internal conversations with myself about so many things. Evaluating my present self and it’s congruency or lack thereof with my ideal self. Despite my many shortcomings, I know that there are many things to celebrate about where I am now, but not to make it a monument or the peak because there is more to climb and conquer ☺️ • I am proud of me. I am proud of my willing heart and my enduring mind and the glorious inner beauty that starts from The One who calls me beautiful. ‘Self love starts with His love’ • Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, the feeling of being beautiful exists solely in the mind of the beheld. — Martha Beck • #conversationswithmyself #solotraveller #beautywithin #selflove #livelearnreflect #nyc #newyork #faithtravel #thechristianbloggers

• ‘LIBERDADE’ • First picture is my favourite one so far 🌸☀️ Allow me to be deep about it: Glowing and blooming are within my grasp. I feel myself growing, yet shining unapologetically. I don’t need to chase the light. Light found me and shines through me. Blooming requires pruning and boy have I been pruned. I’ve had moments of bad weather but I can’t mistake bad weather for a bad season. My season has been all things refining, positive, illuminating, transforming and freeing. I’ve tasted ‘liberade’. Freedom from the opinion of others. Freedom from my self-doubts. Freedom from doing but never ‘being’. LIBERADE Love, Light & Love xx #Tavira #Portugal #SoloVacation
