I was on the tube coming back from my postgrad lectures, when the scripture below lashed me. In that moment, I could only sigh and promise Abba that I would have a chat with Him about the beauty of His word and how He almost made me miss my stop 😂
I digress, read the scripture below. Let me know if it made you shine your eye too!
“Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this mountain nor there in Jerusalem. You worship guessing in the dark; we Jews worship in the clear light of day. God’s way of salvation is made available through the Jews.
👉🏽But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth.👈🏽
That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.” “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth…” – John 4:21-24 The Message
Can we just pause and deep this👉👉 ‘in the pursuit of TRUTH’.
What is worship without the truth of who God is?
What is worship without understanding His Word which is TRUE?
Is your worship rooted in truth or performance?
Is your worship rooted in The Word’s expectation or man’s expectation?
Cheii 🙈 Lord, may my worship be acceptable you.
Let me not exchange truth for sensationalism. The music, the melodies, the usual ‘worship setting’ isn’t wrong. But when we place those things above His TRUTH, we’ve missed true worship. Those things serve a greater purpose when we understand the God that we sing, dance and shout about.
I don’t sing about God because I enjoy singing. I sing about God because I enjoy MORE the GOD that I sing about. I enjoy the truth of knowing Him, believing in Him. I am in love with His word. Everything else is a by-product of that love for His TRUTH.
The fact that He is, Yaweh. Through Him ALL things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made (John 1:3). In him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28) and by virtue of this we are His Children. Even as I type this, my heart is overwhelmed by that very TRUTH. This is why my worship pursues truth!
The truth of Your Word is enough to move the Spirit you put in me. You are enough. You are my reward.
Your Word (the truth) connects my spirit with Yours in Worship! Wow 😍❤️🙌

Having a psychology degree provides me with a broad scope to experience many industries and fields of work. Although, my main aim is to continuously learn and also to share my knowledge and experience with others, within and beyond the constraints of the psychology community. Hence my pursuit to teach!
Hopefully, the readers of this blog will find that it is infested with a scope of psychological knowledge, with the intention of conveying psychology in such a way that it is interesting and understandable to those who aren’t studying it as a discipline. In addition, you will find that I heavily cover various topics aside of psychology such as, Christianity because I am a Christian. I draw both passions together, Psychology and Christianity, observing how they complement and sometimes clash! This blog is where ‘Psychology meets Scripture’.
As well as teaching Psychology, I know God has called me to do something far greater in this world. My passion is for His Word and to encourage others to read the Bible, fall in love with it, but most importantly…fall in love with The Author! My role of teaching is not limited to psychology. I strongly believe God is stirring up the ‘teacher’ office of the Five fold ministry in me.
I’m a doctor by virtue, healing and performing heart surgery with words of encouragement.
I am extremely driven and passionate about getting everyone; both Christians and non-Christians to read, understand and live out the word of God. To achieve this, I’ve created online Bible Challenges, whereby people around the world via social media, read a book in the Bible, one chapter a day and share what they have drawn out from the text. I have numerous Bible challenges, all accessible from my blog (www.doctorkanayo.com) and the YouVersion Bible App where over 250,000 people have completed my devotionals around the world. One Bible Challenge at a time, I aim to change the skewed perceptions of the Bible being irrelevant and to show the true reality that the bible is ‘juicy’, tremendously relevant, fun and easy to read. My one prayer is that my teachings and writings from His word, will touch at least ONE person. That would be a serious mission accomplished to the glory of God!
