Day 2 – #JosephChallenge

DAY 2
Read: Genesis 37:18-36
Beware of Dream Killers

Some folk will discourage you from your dream just because they do not feature well in it! Some are happy for you to be successful, as long as you don’t do better than them. It can even be those closest to you. I encourage you to pursue your dreams, visions, passion and purpose with God as your focus, unapologetically!

Moreover, you must be careful about who you share your dreams and visions with. When Joseph had his dreams, there was no account of him receiving an instruction from God to share his dreams with his brothers and father as he did! He must have shared them out of excitement or pride perhaps.

untitledWe can learn from this ‘Joseph error’ and ask God to give us the ability to discern who is for us and who isn’t. On a practical note, we must learn to speak when God says speak and be still until He says move. Use wisdom in how and when you share your vision, dream, or testimony. Unfortunately, among the spectators, there are those that are rooting for you to fail. This is why it is always best to share the testimony when it is complete!

Prayer:
Lord, give me more of Your wisdom. I want the Spirit of discernment to govern my speech and my actions. Surround me with people that are of You, people that will support me with the vision and dreams You have given me. I ask all of this in Jesus Name. Amen!
