Like many of you, I’ve had (and still have as a graduate) the privilege of studying and with that comes some tough seasons of intense revision and exams.
It can get overwhelming, but I want to encourage you as I encouraged myself during my undergrad days.
We are incredibly blessed as children of God. We have the privilege of resting in our Father’s word and living in His peace in ALL things…including exams.
So I have a short prayer for us in this season.
Lord, give all students that love You, peace of mind as we study. Help us to focus and make the best use of the time that is available.
Give us insight, wisdom and understanding (Daniel 1:17) of our work and help us to remember it all, when the time comes.
Above all, we thank you for the ability to be able to study and for the wisdom, gifts and talents you have given us.
Help us to use our studies and everything else in our lives, in such a way that they honour and bring glory to you (Colossians 3:17).
In Jesus Name! Amen 🙂
If you get stressed or go into panic mode, take a break to worship and ask God for His peace. Remember that you have the Holy Spirit as your number one helper, revision buddy who knows it all.
My personal favourite chilled out revision/studying gospel albums are:
- Hillsong Zion Acoustic
- Sean C. Johnson – Every single album/song he’s ever released lol!
- Smokie Norful – Every single album he’s ever released too!
- Jazz gospel instrumentals
- And when I feel really stressed, I listen to Last Word by Elevation Worship (this is my pick-me-up song)
Loving you all with prayer. God bless you and all the best with your studies/revision.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
