Fruit Of The Spirit FINALE Day 7 #FOSChallenge

photo.PNGWe have completed The Fruit of The Spirit Challenge aka fruit buffet. Thank you for taking part in the #FOSChallenge! It has been a wonderful learning experience and I really do pray that it has encouraged you to start growing these fruits of The Spirit in your spiritual garden. To show love, be faithful, gentle, joyful, kind, goo, patient, have peace and exercise self-control. The true genes of someone who is a Child of God. We will no longer perish in the spirit because we have been to the A & E which is the Bible – God’s word and we will stay grounded in it!

photo 2 (15)If you have a testimony or want to share how the challenge has helped you. Or if you want to encourage someone with a message, please fill out the form below or send an email to biblechallenge@doctorkanayo.com and I will post it up on the blog!

Bible Challenge MOTTO: The Bible is JUICY. The Bible is LIFE. The Bible is for YOU!

Scriptures to read today:

  • Galatians 5:22-23
  • JOHN 15:1-17
  • Fruit of Spirit Poem (See Below)

photo 1 (9)

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

photo 5.PNGIf you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other.”

The Challenge:

  • Read the scriptures assigned to each day/fruit.
  • Share your thoughts with everyone.

downloadWhen we look at John 15, we see that the branches that produce these amazing fruits are pruned. Pruning takes place to elicit more growth. Pruning can look painful; it even looks like it will produce the antithesis of growth by almost stripping everything off. But God prunes, allows us to go through stuff to increase the fruit we produce. Isn’t that amazing?

We can’t try and acquire fruit of The Spirit on our own…’apart from me, you can do nothing’ says the Lord. We need to remain connected to the true vine, we need to hunger for Him and His presence in us. As we journey to live a worthy, glorious life that is a testament to the Fruit of Spirit, God will give us the grace to remain in Him. God is raising up a generation who will walk in His Spirit by faith.

The Question is, will you show love, have joy, be kind, gentle, patient, good, peaceful, faithful and have self-control and SERVE God. Will you love and serve others…? Because the Fruit isn’t just for you. Remember, Fruits have seeds and those seeds will be sown into the lives of those who experience the fruit you produce. To those that you’ve shown love to, you have sown a seed of love. To those you have been faithful to, you have sown a seed of faithfulness and so on… What are you sowing into peoples lives?

Prayer: Lord, I’m learning to trust all of your precious promises and will for me. I stand in the authority of Christ against all the tactics of the enemy to hinder me from living the kind fruit bearing life you so desire for me. Thank you for your word, Thank you for fanning the flame within me to serve you the way I should. Thank you for choosing me to bear fruit – Lord give me the grace to do so effectively. Amen

photo 1 (16)Walking in the Spirit means living every day
Looking up to Jesus and following His way.
And when I give Him all of me
Just like a mighty tree–
My actions will become sweet fruit
For all the world to see.

Galatians 5 lists all nine fruits
The Spirit wants to grow
And if you read them for yourself
You will be sure to know:

photo 1 (5)That LOVE comes first–the kind you choose,
Not feelings you may lose,
But actions that show sacrifice,
And branch out the Good News.

And then comes JOY, that you can hold
No matter what life brings
It’s the Song of all God’s promises
The glad heart daily sings.

Sweet PEACE comes next, a quiet heart
Though life may twist and turn,
Then PATIENCE shows it wants no part
Of sparks that quickly burn.

photo (1)KINDNESS is an active fruit
It treats others with care
The love of Jesus is the root
That spreads it everywhere.

GOODNESS knows and does what’s right–
Its actions match God’s teaching
It spreads His shining, perfect light
Into a dark world reaching.

FAITHFULNESS is like a rock,photo 5 (12)

A firm and steady friend
Who never leaves you hanging–
But is loyal to the end.

GENTLENESS is tender strong.
It turns the other cheek.

It rarely ruffles when it’s wronged.

(It’s a synonym for “meek.”)

And then at last, fruit number nine,
(Its growth requires practice).
It doesn’t lash out, pout, or whine,
Or prickle like a cactus.
It doesn’t need to over-dine
Or lick clean the ice cream bowl;
For with the Spirit/Helper, you can have fruit SELF CONTROL.

photo 4 (3)

When you put the nine together,
A fruit salad you will make
That proves to all the world your life
Is lived for Jesus’ sake!
