There are moments where the phrase “too blessed to be stressed” couldn’t be further from the truth for me. I’m not sure where the phrase came from, however, I do agree that it is appealing to the ear and the concept sounds good. But what do you do when the blessing from God is weighty? … Continue reading The tension between feeling blessed and stressed

Say ‘no’ to like-minded people
The challenge with the saying 'surround yourself with like-minded people', is that we are usually attracted to people who think like us. Psychologists have shown that in varying contexts, people are attracted or drawn to those who look like them and think like them. For example, when employers are hiring for a job, they are more … Continue reading Say ‘no’ to like-minded people
Only God Can…
I was given the honour of sharing at this Gospel Jam 2017 in Leicester and what a beautiful showcase it was. My message was part of the drama production with the theme of the scene being 'Only God Can'. That … Continue reading ‘God said…but it didn’t work out’
Bad God?
When do you call on God? What are the things, situations or circumstances that move you to reach out to God - or to even acknowledge His existence and sovereignty? When I asked, most people via a twitter poll said that they are more likely to call on God 'if something bad happens' as opposed to when something good happens.
Hearts may break but they also heal
I'll share my journey of heart break, healing and the lessons learned. This will probably be one of my most poignant posts, but it has been a long time coming. After sharing my story and the tough lessons learned with other men and women, who were so encouraged, I was reminded that it is time. So … Continue reading Hearts may break but they also heal
Sometimes God says NO!
God's 'no' is better than man's 'yes'. Look back and glorify God for the things He saved you from. Look back and think about how pre-mature desires could have led you in the ditch. Look back and appreciate God's discipline, an expression of HIS love for you as His son/daughter. Look back and appreciate His … Continue reading Sometimes God says NO!
